When is the best time to visit Paris?
Paris has a temperate climate without real extremes. Loveliest are spring and early autumn: April to June are mild, the parks are in bloom, the days grow longer. Cheapest and often quickest is the RER B, which runs directly to Gare du Nord and on to Châtelet — around 35 to 45 minutes depending on the time of day. Alternatively, the Roissybus service to Opéra, and transfer services or taxis, which need 40 to 70 minutes depending on traffic. The Le Bus Direct service has since been discontinued. For early or late arrivals, a pre-booked transfer is worth considering.
