What is there to do in Hamburg?
Hamburg is best discovered from the water. The harbour ferries are part of the public transport network and cost no more than a bus ride — one of the cheapest harbour tours anywhere. On land lie the Speicherstadt, Elbphilharmonie and HafenCity in the south; the Alster and old town in the centre; St. Pauli with the Reeperbahn to the west; and Ottensen and Altona to the far west, with village-like character.
